Jarvi — Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
Jarvi is provided by Köknar UG, Prenzlauer Allee 242-247, 10405 Berlin, Germany ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
You must be 16 or older.
2. What Jarvi is
An app that sends your questions to AI models from several vendors and shows you the answers. It can also, with your permission, read your calendar, mail, health data, location and contacts to answer better.
3. What Jarvi is not
Jarvi gives you the output of language models. It is not advice.
Specifically, and without limiting the point:
- Not medical advice. It can read the health data you share and describe what it shows. It cannot diagnose anything. If something concerns you, see a doctor.
- Not financial or legal advice.
- Not reliable by default. Models get things wrong, including confidently. Check anything that matters.
You are responsible for what you do with what Jarvi tells you.
4. Credits
4.1 How they work
Every message spends credits. Larger models cost more per message, and the app shows the cost of each model before you pick it.
4.2 They do not expire
Credits stay on your account until you spend them. A month you barely use carries forward. Cancelling your subscription does not remove credits you have already been granted or bought — what you lose is next month's allowance, not last month's.
4.3 What they are not
Credits are a prepaid entitlement to use the service. They are not money, not property, not transferable between accounts, and have no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for cash except where the law requires it.
4.4 When they are gone
Deleting your account forfeits any remaining balance. The deletion screen says so before you confirm.
5. Subscription and payment
Jarvi Plus comes in two lengths:
| Plan | Price | Credits added |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | €14.99 per month | 1,350 each month |
| Weekly | €3.99 per week | 300 each week |
Prices are in euros and may differ in your local currency; the App Store shows the price you will actually be charged before you confirm.
Both renew automatically. Your Apple ID is charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current one ends. Renewal continues until you turn it off, and turning it off must happen at least 24 hours before the period ends to stop the next charge.
All payment is handled by Apple. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings — cancelling in the app alone does not stop billing, and deleting the app does not either. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep what you have paid for until then.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy. We cannot issue them.
We may change prices. Existing subscribers will be told before a change applies to them, and Apple will ask you to agree.
6. Your content
6.1 It stays yours
You keep all rights to what you write, attach and receive.
6.2 What we do with it
You grant us the licence needed to run the service: to store your content, and to transmit it to the AI vendor whose model you selected so it can be answered. Nothing wider.
6.3 We do not train on it
We do not use your content to train models, and we choose vendors whose API terms say the same.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Jarvi to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- generate material that sexually exploits children, or content designed to harass, defraud or impersonate;
- attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or work around its rate limits;
- resell access, share an account, or operate it automatically at scale;
- upload other people's personal data you have no right to share.
The AI vendors have their own usage policies, and using Jarvi to reach them means you are bound by those too.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we do it without cause, we refund unused credits.
7a. Apple
Jarvi is distributed through the App Store, and Apple requires these terms to be part of any agreement that replaces its standard one. They are here because they are required, and they are true:
- This agreement is between you and us, not you and Apple. Apple is not a party to it and is not responsible for Jarvi or its content.
- Your licence to use Jarvi is a non-transferable licence to run it on an Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for Jarvi. Support is ours — see section 14.
- If Jarvi fails to conform to any warranty that applies, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent the law allows, that is Apple's entire warranty obligation, and Apple has no other liability arising from a failure to conform.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party makes about Jarvi, including product liability claims, any claim that it fails to meet a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law. Nor is Apple responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging a third-party claim that Jarvi infringes intellectual property rights.
- You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, have the right to enforce them against you.
8. Third-party accounts
Connecting Google is between you and Google, subject to their terms. You can disconnect at any time in Skills. Tool servers (MCP) you add are third-party services we neither operate nor vet — Jarvi asks before running anything whose effects it cannot be sure of, but what those servers do is not ours.
9. Availability
We try to keep Jarvi running and make no promise that it always will. Models we depend on can be slow, wrong or unavailable, and vendors retire them. The catalogue will change.
If a generation fails, you are not charged for it.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- Jarvi is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits or data.
- Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including, for consumers in the EU/EEA and UK, your statutory rights.
11. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time in Skills → Account. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
We may end your access with notice, or immediately for a serious breach of section 7.
12. Changes
We will tell you in the app before material changes take effect. Continuing to use Jarvi afterwards means you accept them.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
